The Lawton House
Treadwell Street, Orangeburg, SC.
Built in the 1900’s, The Lawton House is an historic home that has remained in the Lawton family for over a century — the longest family owned property in the district. It is a record of family, resilience, and long-standing community.
The Lawton House was awarded a grant from the South Carolina Department of Archives and History (SCDAH), supporting initial stabilization and restoration efforts. More funding is required to continue the project.
C Sculptures was commissioned to restore, stabilize, and make water tight the structure in keeping with the surrounding historic district.
